Another header question

Does anyone have steel chrome headers?
Will these change colors from the heat?
Im looking into the HP motorsports headers.

I heard on horsepower tv that the ceramic coated headers are supposed to help remove heat from the engine (increase the effeciency?!). Anyone got any opinions on that? Mine are coated so I may be a little partial.

Yes that is true.. I did research and asked some local people about the differences btwn Stainless steel and coated headers.. Coated does not retain heat as much.... better performance...

yes the 3 main benefits over ss that cc has is that they are
1 cheaper
2 weigh less
3 becuase of their insluating properties the
exhaust stays hotter and flows faster through the header and down pipe also keeps ur engine bay somewhat cooler or ss. nothin major

i have chrome plated headers and at first it stayed chrome when u install them. turned gold with hint if green after a day and then turen rainbow for 3 days and now they are like dark blue. Looks nice in my opinion. They stayed that way. i had my headers for likr 6 months now. I would get chrome or ss b/c i like the way it looks. i dunno about turning black cuz mine are not there yet but i dont think mine will. the deep blue colors are only at the top where it gets the hottest and i think it looks great. I wish i had pics to show you all.

yeah i know what it looks like. good for show. but cc will last quite awhile so i dont know why ppl pay for the ss. i mean after like 4 years ull prob have another car or at least a better engine. well for us I4s anyways.

i have CC, but i wisheds i had SS because SS lasts much longer, usualy the life of the car while my CC headers already are cracking (not from scraping either as my car isnt low and the collector is clean)
