Guys help me out quick, before i lay down 350.00 to get this fixed.


For the past 3 days my BATTERY light has been coming on. I figured i needed a new battery. Last night i was driving home from school. All the lights in the console began to dim. and finally my car turned off and came to a rolling stop.

My friends gave me jumper cables. But the car would turn back off after 3 minutes. [i disconnected the negative ground while running to see if the car would stay on. The cop told me that is a way to tell if its a battery problem or alternator problem]


Is it the alternator or battery? This is the original battey and i have 45K on my acura.

by the way... my car is a 3.0. Alternator is in a real tight Space!!!!

 

go to an autozone or napa and they can test your alternator while its still on your car. and it will also test ur battery. at worst if it is the alternator. buy one and ill put it in for you for free.

 

ps dont take off the negative its the positive u should take off. but its bad for your car so dont do it at all. where u live i could do it today im off till 2230.

 

Wilp, yo thanks for the advice and for the offer to put it in for me. I didnt take it to Acura, my school friend is going to put it in for me 2morrow morning. I appreciate it though.
