Almost time for new tires...

I hate trying to find new damn tires.

Im sticking with my stock rims 99 2.3

Can i go wider then 205 on them??? or bad idea?

im in la so i want a summer performance tire Ive had good luck and really like the potenzas so im looking at

Bridgestone potenza RE750 and S-03

also like pirelli so

Pirelli PZero Nero

was also looking at the Yoko EVS 100, anyone know anything about these, they were failry inexpensive compared to the others.

I really love the bridgestones cause i love the sidewall re-enforcing, makes the car feel more solid. But since i dont race would the SO-3s be overkill?

also saw the BF goodrich scorchers, are those thing gimic tires or what???

Any input will be helpful thanks

HAHA...ok ok ok i'll give u my imput....

From what i know, u "MIGHT" be able to bump it up to 215's....maybe not...u might just want to stick with 205-55-16.

215's are usaully on 17" wheels but im not sure, they might be able to put them on your OEM 16's...

As far as tires go...i'd either get the potenzas or the Continentals...I think Potenzas were the OEM tires that came on the CL from the factory...I used to think Continentals were grandpaw tires until i found the ones i showed u earlyer...I got theose on my car now when i put the 18's on...(you can check my WWW below the in "new wheels" folder...i might have a few upclose picts of the tires....

Other than that, dude, its totaly up to u...check around, look at prices and look at the ratings...DO NOT GET DUNLOPS...they suck....just go to tirerack and type in the freatures you want the tire to have and you'll find what u need...

here. . .

Acura3.0CL - Thank you sir, your input has been much welcomed. Thank you.

I think I will go back to the potenzas. I think im still on the michellins that came stock with this car (only had 25K when i bought it.)

So the question is now the 750 or the S-03. and would the S-03 just be overkill? I know it has good tread rating compared to other similar tires but Im trying to find a the specific rating.

Anyway thanks again.

I have the Kumho Supra Ecstra 712's on the stock 16's 205 55 16...mostly a summer tire..wear is like 30-40k Depending on your habits of rotation and driving. i drove them in the snow, they suck in the snow..

stock michelin mxv4 are shit

TIRE TALK

I put Bridgestone Turanza's on as replacements for orig Michelins... I think they are fine for my type of driving. Had Pirelli P-7's Velocce's on my Maxima - they were very high performance shoes. Both are good choices, in my opinion.
