All you folks with white guages

I just gotten them in last week, but after looking at pics I was like hey. You mileage, trip meter, and needles don't seem to light up in the pics. The mileage and trip meter I think is because most of you all taken the bulbs behind it out. I planning to get different color LEDs so that probably dixes that. But the needles, how do they light up? Is it just from the lighting in the back? Or do they light up and the pics don't show them that well. Oh btw I bought the nice s7 gauges from ebay. Can't wait to have them put in.

haha its really easy to do

well i guess if u have experience

I'm selling my setup if you're interested. I can set the mileage to anything you want.

I'd prefer to sell the gauges w/ them since they're a perfect fit. The lines and numbers line up perfectly since I bought a gauge setup to match the white faces. It looks completely stock.

you can see the needle fine cuz the blue light it gives off make the needle easy to see even though the needle looks black. i dont have any problems seen it.

Ok after some searches I found out some info so that Y some people say different things. 97 the needle don't light up. I didn't know that. 98-99 the bulbs in the back light up the needles. So this sounds good to me (I have a 98). I just need a bit of info, how many led bulbs I need to only light up the mileage and trip meter? I want to leave the bulbs into light up the needles but also light up the trip and mileage in a different color. I also found from searches that the stock guages take 4 bulbs all together. Also I found out it is 194 bulbs. Just to make sure.

I looked up on top, and there is a light under there that beams down on the needles. Do you know what bulbs those are?

Wheels are clicking in my mind. How about using 74 UV light and them painting the needles with some nice coating. I think i got some left over from my computer modding days.
