Alarm question..
Alarm question..
i got a 97 2.2CL about 2 weeks ago,
usually when i lock it the alarm goes off. I've tried locking it from the inside but that doesn't help...sometimes all i have to do is unlock it then lock it again but most of the time it just keeps goin off...
do u guys have any idea what wrong with it??

well, your alarm shouldnt go off just by locking the car. For the alarm to go off either the panic button need be pressed for a second or two, or trauma to the car needs to happen. I would recommned you take your vehicle to your local audio shop ( most of them to alarms too ) or Acura service department, and have the issue looked at carefully. Id also be sure to check all fuses, and your remotes battery as well. If all else fails, just take it like man and bitch slap your shit to teach it a lesson.

yes, they should !!! Its a safety feature. My stock alarm locks itself after a certain amount of time. Theres also glass sensors inside the car that monitor the frequency of breaking glass. This is all on the stock alarm, along with the "chip" or "loctronics" which you can remove to prevent thieves from starting your car period.
