My car will not lock with the remote 75% of the time.

The remote lights up when I press the button but nothing happens. The unlock and trunk work fine. Ive tried reprograming the remote with no improvement. I can stand there and hit the lock button mabey 25 times before it will work. Sometimes it only takes one try.

Anyone have an idea?
Its starting to drive me crazy.
This remote has gotten me spoiled

 

sounds like some kind of connection problem perhaps?-- look at your alarm box (under passenger seat) and make sure everything is connected right... the batter on your keyless might be too low also... (at a point where the LED will still light up.. but the distance it can unlock at is bad....

one way you could tell if the battery is low.. is if it unlocks when you are really close to the car.. but as you step away it won't-- :-P

 

i have that same problem sometime, not all the time. your remote is going out. i am planning on buying a new remote soon and replace it with the old one but your buttons are wearing out and the connection on the remote is wearing out. i recommend a new remote just my opinion since i have the same problem and thats what i did so.....

cor: note that if you are close to the car and you unlock it and you back away and it wont work its not the battery of the car, its the remote for sure and it could be the battery for the remote

check it out but checkyour fuses first but i highly doubt it is but i think you need a new battery for your remote or perhaps a new remote
