Advice before purchase-'99 2.3
I'm looking at 2 different '99 2.3's. One with 65k other 57k.
What should I ask/look for before purchase of one of them.
I've owned a Legend, but that I'd move into a CL.
Thanks

With low mileage like that, all I would ask about is the condition of the brakes and accident history. I guess its possible the one with 57k MIGHT have original tires, so check that out. There might be a 60k service coming up on it, too. As long as youre far from the big 90k service, I cant think of anything that would be going bad with either car. Otherwise, just check general condition, see if theyve taken care of it with regular oil changes and such. As you probably know, these Honda engines are built to last.

The owner of the one with 57k tells me that the car was stolen about 6 months ago and the insurance company considered it lost. It was found impounded in a police lot in Phila (from ATL). It stayed in lot for 3 months before they traced the vin.
By then the owner had been paid and had another car. Apparently the only damage it had was to one bumper and it was repainted. It now has a reconstructed title.
I somewhat know this man and trust him 100%, but I'm not sure if it sat in the elements for that long, if there are other potential problems.
I can probably get this car for $7,500. He's very willing to have me get it checked out.
Any thoughts?
