Advice!!!!

I need some advice as to what to do next... I have 2 options in mind to continue to spruce up my 1st gen...

do you think I should:

a) try and get more go out of her...
Comptech SC, Exhaust, and more engine mods...

b) go strictly show with her...
Air cylinder suspension, 12 pak strobes (frnt, rear, under)
try and find a way to make or cover the original hood
with Carbon fiber and paint the rims anthrocyte....

The mods either way should equal each other out...
What would you do if it were your car...

I would go with the supercharger. The sound alone is incredable. My freind and I installed a jackson charger on his integra GSR and it was amazing.
Think about it, you will be one of the first to have a supercharged First Gen and at the next meet, all eyes will be on you, not Astroboy's $60k sound system LOL... then on the highway going back home, you can Rape the shit out of your brothers TL-S HAHAHAHAH. I think it will be worth the BIG $$$$$

I would normally say go for the charger but the numbers on it wear weak. There is a feature article on it in I think Honda Tuning magazine, regardless its one that that carry at walmart. Read up on the times first not to impressive if you ask me. HKS turbo might be a better bet.

Be a leader and pave the way. Get the supercharger. You'll be the first Cl to get the Comptech SC (I think).

Definitely the SC. You don't want to be all show and no go.

i think u should go for show......

i mean, with all the weight from the stereo and trunk job.......how fast are you gonna be going?

either go all out race car or all out show. your ride would be tite with the stereo and air cylinders.

question casper, what rim width do you have and what is the offset?

i want to go 225/45 17, and i am worried about rubbing

thanks

I would go with the SC..........though I don't think you would be the first.......doesn't Ross already have one???

I like the look of your ride as it is.............if it were me, I think I would enjoy the SC & headers more......it is your daily driver, right?

Would the air setup require you to modify any of your trunk? Or would you run the tanks from the inside of your car?

Even though the supercharger is a go fast part, I think it is still of show quality type of mod. Not many 1st gens with it. I am pretty sure Ross had/has one on his CL. Definately a hot item to have at a show that will stand out and give you some points.

well, first i would have to encorportae the tank pertruding througfh the CF floor out of the wheel well... the compressors will be iin the same area or hidden elsewhere....

The SC is a nice show option, but with $$$ limited to nothing now and a few dollars later, doing both now is impossible!!!!

CL-Z... Yes it is my daily driver.. but thats not really influencing my decision for either!

i say go for the rest of the show.

it looks really nice underhood already(just get some pulleys to finish the clean look)

the suspension and the lights would look butta.

i know that you have headers, but you're dragging so much weight because of the system that the SC would only be an engine accesory.

that's just me tho

well, I say go a lil with both, but dont go over board on them

with the speed youll run into prob with the tranny and other parts Im sure. i would so love to see a SC CL but theres alot of work thats goin to have to go into that, being a daily driver and all, but if you have the $$$ to back it up.....

on the other hand, a show car will look good, our cars a good lookin cars but you can go over board with it, and once again being a daily driver can take a beating to any body work or other things as that might be done,

but if you can get a good mixture of both and just have an all around CL with some balls and a good about of show, and youll be good to go, but thats just me, just thought Id throw in my 2 cents on it

30-40 HP for $4500 is not worth it in my opinion. Plus you'd have to buy a tranny cooler and mod it to fit in the engine bay. Our cars have limited potential cause no one will make parts for us and if they do, they do little to enhance the power it already has. Go STYLE.

Go for show!

[I can't believe I am saying this!]

At this point, I wouldn't trust the supercharger. To pump that kind of money in your car, there's no guarantee that the tranny will hold.

If you want short bursts of power, you can always add nitrous for MUCH less than the supercharger!

Go with your plan to add an air cylinder suspension, 12 pak strobes (front, rear, under) try and find a way to make or cover the original hood with Carbon fiber and paint the rims anthrocyte.

Your CL should look great!

Yeah! so am I!

But, I think it makes sense to invest your $$$$ in the suspension, etc.

There's only so much performance we can get for the $$$$ in our 3.0s. I can't see investing $5000+ for the supercharger (possibly more for tranny work) and not get a proportional increase in power (as with the 2.0, 2.2, 2.3 and let's say a turbo).

Ross already had the SC, then sent it back. Go with the exhaust, I cant believe you have headers and no exhaust. You're wasting a whole hell of alot of potential. GET THE EXHAUST!
