Adjusting Valves

I read on the Acura Owner site that adjusting valves is part of the 100k service. Has anybody done this? I was wondering what was involved and if I could do it my self. How do I tell if they need adjusting?

But there is wat people call the V-tec tick, but it gets louder and louder like mine where u can hear it inside the car and a good distance outside away. I have a 4 banger so it is louder than u 3.0s.
