Adjusting Headlights

I was getting flashed alot at night recently, so on a whim i parked in front of a wall and noticed my left headlight is shines a few inches higher on the wall than the right, whats the proper way to set the height (i.e x feet from a wall, lights should be x inches off ground) and how do i adjust the height of the beam?

there is a gear you turn with a phillips screwdriver. you jam the screwdriver in and use it as a knob. the instructions should be in the owners manual.

measure the height from the floor to the middle of your headlamp assy. then mark a horizontal line on the wall. then two vertical lines centered with your headlamp assy. again so you have two crosses. then back your car straight back 25 ft. then turn on your headlights. your low beams should be on on the outer lower corners of each cross. hope that helped
