Steering problem

Hey ppl, thanx for the suggestions on the coil over. Appreciated.
Another quesiton that has been bothering me for a while is the power steering. YOu guys know that sometimes the road has tire tracks because of the the road is worn by too many cars driven by ? so that make the road seem to have two tracks. Anyawys, whenever my baby CL runs on those road, and whenever I am slowing down to a complete stop or slowing down to about 10 or 15 km/h.. the steering just go wild ! it swings either left or right DRAMAtically by itself !! What could be wrong ? I am bringing the dealership on thursday, and what do you guys think that could be causing this, and would this be under warranty ?

thank you !

Can say I've ever heard or experienced this myself. I would definately bring it to the dealer ASAP and see what they have to say about it......

It could be that the wheels are just catching the sides of the road where there may be a little hole or drop. Hold you steering wheel tighter...At these times, are you holding onto the wheel or are you driving without hands? If you are holding on like norm, then you really have a problem with steering.

my car acted kinda like you're describing when I picked it up. it was affected by indentions in the road more than it should and the rest of the time it needed to be steered. I took it to the dealership and had a major alignment. problem solved.

Hey Skyline, I had the same problem on my car. I got a wheel alignment done, but it kind of still does it. What exactly did the dealership do for you?

Yeah, they are the stock wheels. But, it shouldn't be doing that problem even with those should it?

Haha, this is from 2001. I think it's probably fixed or taking care of by now.

Good to know for reference though.
