ACURA TL CL Performance Chip, Timing Kit
FOLLOW THE RULES, AND LOWER YOUR 1/4 MILE TIMES
#1 RULE: STOP BELIEVING the hype that you will get 20+ horsepower, because the truth is, unless you already have a cold air intake, engine management upgrades, and many other mods... you wont get that -
#2 RULE: -however, if you are serious about performance....with this mod your stock ride can pick up a cheap and easy 7-10 HP!!! -
-once you get into the world of street racing and street performance you will see that by advancing your timing, you can greatly increase power while maintaining stock detonation standards-
#3 RULE: -DONT BUY KITS THAT ONLY GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS!!!-
-THIS COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED, THE INSTRUCTIONS, THE PICTURE DIAGRAMS, and of course, THE TIMING ADVANCE CHIP RESISTOR-
-just click on our ebay ID to send us a question!!!!-
#4 RULE: -I see others with this product charging 4 dollars for shipping...stop paying for shipping!!!-
-FREE SHIPPING!!!-
-shipping is always 2-3 day USPS MAIL!!!-
-also, to keep costs down, we have an all sales final policy...unless the order is doa, in that case it can be replaced-
-the part you are purchasing was manufactured by the street racing company "Mod Squad Cars" as part number GS1020-
THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS WE GET:
I have not worked on car long, will I be able to do this??
You do not need any knowlage of cars to install. You will not have to purchase anything else. This mod will not void your warranty; if you are worried about you car not passing inspection, you can easily remove the mod just as fast as you can reinstall it.
2. What "EXACTLY" does this do??
This mod will modify your stock ECU with a Timing Advance resistor. This resistor connects to the car's ECU by replacing the Intake Airflow Temperature (IAT) Sensor. Once the resistor is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air; think of it as a "default" setting on the ECU. When the ECU reads this, it lean out the air/fuel mixture-in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees. Because the engine is creating more power, it will need more fuel; so the fuel economy on the car will increase 1 to 2 miles per gallon (MPG), but definitely not more than 2 MPG. Get rid of that government regulation chip and release the potential of your engine!
I just ordered this off ebay...does anyone have any comments about this?

ENGAGE MY VTEC BABY!!!!!!
basically it makes the car think it is getting cold air when it is not, this can and will ultimately fuck up the engine, do they "GUARENTTE" it??????
i doubt these things work but if you can try it out and let us know how it is
i have a 3.0 but that would make a difference in the fuel curves since the engines are totally different

Guys, I have talked and talked about this resistor mod over and over again on v6p.net.
Dont spend your money on this, goto radio shack, and you can purchase this for under $1 dollar. If you want more specifics, I will tell you how this works. And what you need to do this yourself at home without paying $20 on ebay.

Hmm, well I would say the best bet to go for on the iat sensor is a 3 ohm resistor.
All you do is pick up the resistors from radio shack, you get like 20. And you pull out your iat sensor which is located on the intake manifold, and you bend the resistor into U shape, and stick it into the two prongs on the sensor, and tape up the other end of the sensors. If you want me to get into more specifics, I can draw you guys some diagrams, or take some pics and show you a DIY. Please dont pay $20 for it. I am just looking out for my fellow J-Series owners.

I am not saying this is the best thing in the world to do by tricking the ecu into believing somethin is happening, when its not. But sometimes the extra 3-5 hp is worth it when the mod is only $1 or so. But its do at your OWN risk, you have a good chance of making a CEL light go on, or maybe even the SRS light.
This has been dyno proven to work. The new AEM V2 puts up the same theory by relocating your IAT sensor to before the throttle bdoy where the intake is significanlty cooler. And its not more prone to heat soke as it would be in our intake manifolds.
If you say who gives a f*ck about 5 hp, I gladly say I do

5 hp over here, 10 there, if you add up the hp with your modes, i mean, it'll add up, my friend added like 25-30 hp with just little things, cheap mods, like intake, that reistor, exhuast and shit, its a lot faster than it was before.

lol, you guys are talking like I am supporting this product. I was the first to wave the bs flag all over it.
I can understand how you guys would easily think I am trying to PRAISE this product. But I am not, just mis representation thats all.
One last time to my fellow cl owners, please dont buy this on ebay. Save your money and use it towards other mods. Have a nice day guys
oh and the gains are NOT bs, we have dyno numbers on an accord v6. It did gain about 3 hp accross the band.
