Acura First Generation CL FAQ

Acura First Generation CL FAQ
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing a FAQ for the 1st generation CL's? I see that there is a wealth of information running around, and it would be nice to have it all in one concise document. Of course, I would be the one volunteering to write the FAQ. If anyone is interested, let me know...

I'll help. I'm getting a Helms for the car, both service manual and electrical manuel. Should be here next week.

Great to see so much interest. I will start writing a preliminary version with what I think a 1st gen CL FAQ should contain. I'm quite new to the CL so I for one do not know everything, so it'll definately be written by more than 1 person. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to send me mail at: guyfoster@hotmail.com
Thanks,

I've got the 2.2 down to a science. Engine, I'm not super great with. I do my own mods, but as for maintenance... I'm still in the process of getting really greasy. Interior, I can just about take everything apart.

How do you make an aftermarket CD player fit without a kit. I want to keep it stock looking.

What I did was make a bracket, very much like the stock L bracket with the original two bolts holding the stock unit and tray in place. Folded small gauge sheet metal and drilled the holes where the stock ones were. It worked perfect. I did use an aftermarket wiring harness so if I sell, I can put back the stock unit.

That's a great idea. Montreal, once you have a preliminary one completed, post it as a new topic on here. I can then archive it to the FAQ section where it will stay!!
