Ok, well I sanded and sprayed my A emblem black, but there were a few places where the paint didnt stick all the way, so i took it off, sanded it and sprayed it again, let it dry overnight, somewhere along the way one of the pegs snapped off, no big deal, then when i was putting the emblem back on with the 2 sided tape shit, i got fingerprints all embedded in the paint and it started smudging and looking ugly and shit, and you can see the white double sided tape underneath the emblem from some angles. basically, i fucking hate my rear emblem. and i was wondering if anyone has one for sale. Stock. or if someone did a really GOOD job (unlike myself) of spraying theirs black, i'll buy it off them as well.

yeh.. me too... to me it looks like shit cuz i know its there, but i guess people dont really see it. i guess what bothers me the most is that from above the trunk you can see the WHITE sticky tape shit between the black emblem and primrose car. and that looks pretty crappy

Just take the emblem off and shave that ass. It'll look better.

Im looking around for mine. I had a set I painted black which Ii think I threw away, and all the stock silver ones. I cant find any of the emblems.. maybe somebody :thief:

yeh i guess its kinda hard to tell. i think its just i used too wide of pieces of tape to put it back on the trunk.. so you can kinda see em... meh. i guess i'll re-stick it tonight. i'm still interested in buying another tho, if anyone has one

Wow, that looks nice.

As for painting emblems, you have to prime it and take your time painting it. It may take 2 or 3 days if you do it right.

1. Sand and prep
2. Prime and let dry. (prime in small thin layers. you will see gaps the first couple of passes)
3. Paint, dry, paint, dry, paint, dry. (again, very thin passes)
4. Clear coat, dry, clear coat, dry... (again, very thin passes)
NOTE: the more layers of clear coat you use, the longer your dry time, and the deeper the color will look.

you had to get the holes filled didnt u? and as for the black a's. i took my time, and it looks pretty good. then i started to mess with it, and filed some paint off, so its black and the tip of the circle is chrome, and the inside corners of the a are chrome, so its like black with a chrome outline

Ours are a little different, most A emblems are for the newer gens and are bigger than ours. Plus our A has a bit of a bend in it for the point on our trunk, fyi

 

yea but i wouldnt be able to take an emblem from a newer acura anyways, cuz we would keep it on our lot, im talking about jacking one from like an old TL, legend, or vigor thats getting wholesaled and no one cares about.

There was a guy here in OK recently who got STUNG by one of those little old ladies. She kept finding money missing and finaly she got a video camera and set it up. Well, while she was out and about having dinner or whatever old people do... the home's director came into her room and stole her cash. He was later arrested and eventually fired from the home. I don't know if he has been tried yet, but I bet they throw the book at that POS.

As for me, I HATE thieves...
Growing up, I was the neighborhood partier and always had people in my parrent's house. They stole all kinds of shit and I had to get the ass for it. Well, needless to say, that made me hate stealin' MOFOs. I think they should have their hands cut off like in the old days.

thats probaly what ill have to get, or an Integra or Legend. we dont get many CL's unless there 3.0 or 3.2 with blown trannies.

my 2 pennies,the back looks alittle to plain with nothing, and too cluttered with the stock emblems....either the A or the 2gen style A C U R A under the A=
