This Accident Look Bad? (Pics)

Last week, some lady hit me as I was trying to pull into a driveway next door to my house as I was gonna turn around. It was raining, and she most likely wasn't paying attention to my taillights and was following too close and too fast. So she tried to get around me on the way I was turning (left), hit the back corner, and spun me 90 degrees. No report was filed, because my dad said that it wasn't necessary, and there of course was no damage to her Mercedes . I took it to the Automotive Department at my school yesterday, and the teacher approximated $800-$900 worth of damage . My dad originally thought the bumper just popped outta the clip, but it turns out the bumper is just scratched, and the bodywork of the quarter panel is pushed in and everything underneath is caved in .The lady said she is often on the next block over if needed. The weird thing is the that someone hit my mom's truck the exact same way as me 3 days before this happened. Any insight on if the damage is really that bad?

nothing was done because my dad said not to do anything. as soon as i stepped outta my car, I asked if she was alright. But when she stepped out, she apparently didn't see a blinker, so the first thing she said was "you have to signal!" and that the collision was my fault

when i told my friends they all said i shoulda done that. she wasn't not apologetic at all. in fact, when my dad came out all she said was "his insurance is gonna go up!" -_- and when she got out it didn't seem like she needed that handicapped ticket hanging from her mirror either

the law is the same in NJ. she hit you from behind, thus making it her fault. dude, get her info and make her pay for it, seriously.

tell your dad he's dumb...

first of all you always want to take information down, if you don't and the lady reports you to the police you can be accused of hit and run.

If, it's her fault then take action... if, not own up to your mistakes.

The damage looks like it is the in panel not the bumper... so, you have to hit out the panel and just sand the area where gashes and scratches and get that ready for paint.

It does not look like a 800-900 job, more like 500 dollar job...

Always, always get info, even if the accident is your fault, which it isn't in this case.

Your dad pretty much effed up. That's the panel not the bumper I would have reported it just because her attitude good luck getting her to pay. If it was me I would make my dad pay for repairs since he wouldn't let u report it.

You definitely should have gotten insurance info from her, the rear quarter panel is not an easy area to fix
