ABS problem HELP!
Ok, so recently my abs light has been going whack. You guys know when your turn on your car and it makes this humming noise from the engine for like a couple of secs and then it stops? Well recently mine doesnt stop humming. It seems to be comming from something in the lower right hand corner area of my engine. It goes on for about 25 secs and then it stops and the abs light goes on. Sometimes this happens when i start my car in the morning, then it dissappers, sometimes it seems fine then the humming goes, and the abs light goes on. Whats the problem? arghh. Thanks in advance

YES!! Someone else has the EXACT same problem that I have - I have asked this question of my mechanic and a bunch of other people too but nobody knows what the fuk it is! I can tell you something that I do know - it will only get worse. I noticed that the reservoir is always empty when this happens (the ABS reservoir, not the brake fluid reservoir) I have never seen a drop of brake fluid on or around the car but it must be going somewhere - no problems with the brakes after the light turns on and the car stops making the humming noise. This started about 6 months ago and has progressively gotten worse. My mechanic said that it may need to have the ABS controller or something replaced - but he's not too sure. Any suggestions??? WoW - I though I was the only one!!

Yeah that's your ABS Pump Charging your ABS System, You need to get your ABS system checked, It will not work, try it out on a snow or rainy day and you'll slide all over the road!!

Yea, I just popped my hood and the abs fluid is extremely low =T I hope thats just the problem. Imma take it to the dealer to have them fill it up, hopefully that will be the end of that.

You can fill it up yourself with ABS fluid - its not that hard to do - just get a funnel and pop off the black top and theres a small white cap you have to take off too. Take that off and fill 'er up

any dot 3 or 4 brake fluid is fine... Honda just recomends their stuff so they can make more money.
It sounds like the low fluid is the problem... but, you gotta wonder... "where the hell did the fluid go??"... if its low, it means there is a leak somewhere... as the fluid does not get "used" like gas does. Have all the lines checked...
