what does this mean?

i checked the ABS reseivor and it looks empty. could this be it? why would it go empty though? also, is ABS fluid same as brake fluid?

I can say that yes the fluid that goes in the ABS system is the same as the fluid you use in the normal brake system (DOT 3 fluid). I can't tell you why its empty or what the code means. You may have a leak somewhere in the system that caused it to drain. Also if it is totally empty you may want to take it to a mechanic and see if you'll need to bleed the system out when you refill it.

 

i just refilled it and resetted the computer (battery off, ecu fuses (both from inside and under hood) out, ABS fuse out. the light still came on

i guess i'll have to make an appointment w/ acura later

 

yeah you deffinately have a leak somewhere. it shouldn't be empty.
mine sprung a whole in the aluminum hydraulic resevour. makes an awful noise when it tries to get pressure.
