ABS light on!

Ok first my drivers side window regulator goes this week now my ABS light is on.

This has really been a crappy week.

I did the paper clip jump and the ABS light first flashed a 18 then 17.

I looked it up and got:

17 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction
18 High Pressure System

What do I need to fix or look into fixing?

is your brake fluid topped off, cause our cars are pretty sensitive. Search the forum, those codes have been covered. Might be the speed sensor.

I had mine on for a while and when I checked for the code, it never blinked. It's been almost a year and it just turned off like 2 weeks.

I had that problem, it was the axle needed replaced, there's a sensor that reads the axle too. I've also replaced 3 wss as well. Light still comes on

i hadnt had any problems with the ABS light before i got my brakes done (except it would occasionally come on for a second when i broke real hard) but i had the rotors replaced and new pads put on, along with new calipers. they also bled the brakes.

well i was driving it a day later when both hubs came off the rotors (because i guess it wasnt pressed on good enough) and it ended up spinning around the axle and it broke off one of the sensors. They replaced it for me and since then i have had this problem with the ABS light going off around 70mph or so. I just had the master brake cylinder replaced too because it had no pressure and didnt hold pressure when i was stopped. now my brakes are working great, i stop great, but the damn light keeps coming on after 70mph....its really pissing me off.... :angryfire guess its back to the shop. who knows maybe the other sensor is messed too.

70 MPH light coming on is def a sensor, like i said above, mine ended up being on the axle for that one

this just happened to my g/f's 97 2.2 last week. checked the fluid, was low so i topped it off. yesterday, came on again, checked fluid and it was low again. abs light is on and the brake light is on also and the pedal is going almost all the way to the floor when stopping. havent gotten a chance to check codes yet, but if anyone has any helpful info on what i can do, please help..... thanks......

Sounds like your master cylinder, a brake line, or a caliper is leaking fluid, been there done that twice, get it checked by a mechanic b4 her brakes fail on her like they did on me

same thing happened to me 3X and counting.... Rear passeneger Caliper leaks take it in get new caliper but on, bleed the system, lasts about 3- 4weeks and then the abs light comes on, fluid links and I almost die going through an interestion.

Im starting to think maybe its an issue with the pressure regulator on that line ?
Cant be three faulty calipers but the shop keeps fixing it at their cost saying it is.
