Anyone, please?

The fluid was a bit low (just above the min marker) but the light stayed on after filling up. Possible sensor problem in brake reservoir? My son did say the ABS pump pressurized longer than normal this morning.

i had the same problem a couple of years ago, and it was a sensor -
and i had the same problem like a month ago - o topped off the res and it took like a day or two but the light went away - but the pump still activates at random times now so there's still a problem but the light's out

Thanks for the reply.
Have you noticed any difference in the way the ABS system activates the brakes? Any hard braking since pump activation has been erractic?

Most times any warning lights mean sensors. They go out so often thats usually the prob. Take her to a shop, you want your breaks to work

i have no idea of what sensor it was - in fact they had to replace the pass air bag as well - it was a long time ago
the latest episode - i'm driving and the pump randomally does something, what i don't know, but the actual abs is still working i think - i slammed on brakes in the rain about a week ago and it kicked in - there is a problem but i'm too busy and broke right now to address and as long as they stop me in the rain

From the research I have been doing it appears to be the ABS modulator - pump power run-on was my first clue. If this is the problem my son will just have to drive without ABS. I am not about to spend $1500 to fix the ABS on a 6 yo car with 63000 miles. Am I crazy for not wanting to spend the $$$; he will have brakes, just not ABS? As soon as I hear from my mechanic I willpost results.

BTW, my mechanic is not able to get any codes to display when jumping the diagnostic connector.

I had a bad sensor also. It measure the speed that the wheel is going so it knows how to brake to keep u straight. Without it u have no ABS. It is damn expensive to fix though. I think the labor was like 1 hr and part from acura was like 150 bucks, but I had an aftermarket warantee so it covered it.

Well it turned out to be a bad control module. New one from dealer would be $930 with 90 day warranty. I opted for the salvage yard one @ $395 with 90 day warranty. $40 to install.
