most people paid already. I paid and emailed him and he said my sills were shiiping out in a week and a half or so. Not sure cause he has a lot to do so he can only give very rough estimate.

I was just about to post a thread about the SIlls....anyone got theirs yet????.....i sent my $60 in a few days ago on the 5th....(i emailed "Jeff" and told him the money was on the way...) He said he would email me when the $$ gets there and when he ships them out...

Ya....you were suppose to pay upfront. I paid the following day after the GB ended. I still haven't gotten it yet cause I got beige.

Why wasn't beige the standard color as oppose to black? It could of gone either way. It's not like black is the dominant interior color. Hmmmmm...........

naw...the reg sills just had like a metallic grey lettering...any color such as black or beige or anything elce was $10 extra....

 

i think the regular colored sills will look better on a completely black car, at least to match pedals and stuff

 

regular sill = all aluminum
colored sill = black letters on aluminum
stock pedals = all black

Custom colored sills are the colors of the aluminum and lettering??

When I read the original post, it said the sill were standard black...black PLASTIC for black interiors. "Custom" meant that you wanted beige plastic for beige interior.

This sounds like the aluminum and lettering will be beige. I hope not.

................. ok the regular price of 50 bucks buys you 2 door sills that are made out of aluminum and have no color on them, and the words acura cl are kinda beveled on the aluminum sill.

60 bucks will get you a custom sill a.k.a. a color sill, this means that the sill will still be made out of aluminum with the only difference being that you can have the words acura-cl filled in as either black, beige, red, etc. got it

 

Is it still possible to get it on that? I saw a picture of a Cl with them and really liked them. If its too late to get in on the group buy I would still like to know the source. Thanks.

 

Oh snap!

My interior is beige, so I thought "customizing it" was getting the plastic in beige instead of black/charcoal. And the Aluminum and lettering was standard polish silver.

So the sills don't come with a new lower plastic sill with the aluminum attached. From the picture, it looked like the kit was a plastic lower sill with the aluminum on the outter lip. And it would cover the entire lower sill.

It's just the aluminum strip?

 

OK, has anyone gotten their sills yet???

Im startin to get worried....i sent Jeff a email a week ago along with my $$ in the mail...that means the $ has had 7 days to get there...whats goin on? has anyone heard from him or gotten the sills?? we better of not gotten riped off...

 

Nope.

I did Paypal on the next day, Thursday Feb 27. So it's been about two weeks. I never got an answer on turn-around time for the standard sills, so I imagine at least a week plus shipping time. Take into account that he probably didn't start production till maybe the following Monday so that he'd have a chance to get some payments in.

I'd give it till next Monday to start hearing about people getting their sills.

Guys, here is the update. They started shipping yesterday. The bulk will go out today. But only 12 people have paid us so far. There are a couple of calls I have to return regarding payment, and emails, so I'd say we're up to about half have paid.

CJ, I have not gotten your M/O yet. Please email me the exact address you sent it to. I've checked the mail every day now, and nothing.

Damond, your silver sills are shipping today. The beige ones we made for you actually ended up a cool shade of gold. So if anyone is interested in gold sills, email me.

jeff replied to my emails well after the gb ended. Replied the same day if I can remember right when I asked him to confirm my payment and estimated shipping timeframe. He's probably just busy people.

no, people who had committed to the groupbuy should stick to their word and follow through with the order. it's not fair to jeff that only half of the people thus far, completed their orders.

It was funny when he told me that a couple guys on the TL forum threatened to call the FBI on him, when their orders took a little longer.

Just curious, do we know how many people have paid? It's not really fair that X number of people put their orders in, and only half of them paid.

let's say for instance, the seller does not ship the product?
how do you get your money back? is your money protected
through paypal?

i prefer the direct approach, and work with a credit card.
it's much less hassle free, in my opinion.
