so im working at my local acura dealership last saturday and we get a 99 3.0 CL (milano red) as a trade in, i asked one of the salesman how much they want for it, he said "they want 21,000 and they aint gonna budge cuz it has way low miles" so i say "how much" and he says "35"...so im thinking 35,000 miles, then on monday the car gets sold and im cleaning the interior and the mileage read 3,500! i was like wtf!!!!!! why do all the good CL's come in to acura after i buy mynes, plus it had 99 2.3 rims instead of the 3.0 stock ones, that car was practically brand spankin new, they sold it for about 15,000$, and its kinda funny cuz the chick who bought it owned a 2nd gen CL (non type-s), anywho i asked my boss whats the story behind the CL, he said the guy had a stroke a little while after buying it and he never drove it again, so it was garaged, then only now his son decides to get rid of it, this car amazed the shit outta me, mint condition

 

dang..milano red with those 2.3 rims would be tight.... i am looking for some 98' 2.3 rims know anyone who would trade for my 98' 3.0 ones?

 

who are you and what kinda CL you drive? me and the other CL guys are always looking for new CL's to cruise with, let me know if your down, oh and about your rims, you interested in a trade for my 2.2 rims (5 rims, 4 tires) good tread for your 98 3.0s? ive been dying to get my hands on those rims

 

The dealership got raped on that deal. MY 99 3.0 with 35k miles books at $17,500

 

Wow, that mileage would be great.

In the Sunday paper here there is a '99 3.0 with only 20,000 miles on it....I thought that was low.

btw, they're selling that one for $16,500

 

mine only had 24k when I bought it, now it has 65k

 

haha, but you think you'll get anymore then 14 for it you are in a dream world. i've seen 2001 type S's w/ less then 50K on the clock going for 17.

 

yea one of the managers was pissed at the GM because he gave it away for so cheap

 

TRUST ME...a dealership does not sell a car for less than they bought it for, especially a one of a kind used car......to sell it for 15,000 they didnt buy it for anymore than 14,000....

 

I have 35000 on my 2.3 99 CL how much do you thik tthats worth

 

mine had 25K when i bought it, now it has 31K sucks i thought i had one of the lowest mileage 99's

 

you work at phfluger acura? ive taken my cl there a few times for check ups. have you seen a blue 97 2.2 CL with an N-1 muffler? i lowered it too.

 

i drive a white one ..naw man aren't those 2.2 rims the ones that look like cookie cutters(like 96' gsr rims)? if it is i'll pass..ive been dying to get my hands on the 2.3 ones ..you probly know alot of the guys/girls who own cl's here if you know anyone thats down to swap the 2.3's for the 3.0's let me know ..thanks man

 

99 3.0's are going at auctions for less then 10K

mine has like a little over 112,000 still running strong mostly highway miles!
