you're not going to get bass out of those speakers, they're already amp'ed.You'll need to either change out the headunit, bypass the stock amp, and put new speakers in.
or
the cheap route, kept the old speakers, headunit and ran a 12" sub off the rear speakers(for signal) through a line out coverter (LOC). The LOC takes the sound signal off the rear speakers, using a low amp signal, from there you hook the LOC up to an aftermarket amp and to the sub. For me this is great, total of $300, everything looks stock, I have to actually set the stock speakers to -1 to -3 bass, because of how I set mine up, so I dont have to worry about frying the speakers.

I made a quick write up, but there's some stuff missing and I'm using a better single sub, instead of the mtx subs(crap).

i have a 99 cl and i just put 2 12" subs in it. it is almost too much bass, but if you are looking for some bass i would recommend that you add 1 12" subwoofer, like a Rockford Fosgate P1, or a for more bass i would recommend a Boston Acoustics G3. these would be good for our cars. If you ever need help or have any questions about car audio i am the person to go to.

I thinks he wants a sub.. I was also thinking of doing this for this summer but ended up retrofitting instead.

So let me get this straight, I hook up the amp to the bettery, and the speakers to the amp.
Now how do I hook up the amp or speakers to the headunit without pre-amp outputs?

LOC (Line Output Converter). It splices into your speaker wires and gives you a couple of RCA outs that you can run your sub amp off of... A buddy of mine had one in his Jetta, and it sounded alright, but when he replaced the H/U it made a huge difference in his subs... I'd say if your going to put in subs, you might as well just put in a new H/U at the same time... They're not that hard, and it should help out quite a bit if you don't have the Boss system (OP, this doesn't apply to you, but GhettoNinja it does).

My bad then... You should still be able to use a LOC. My buddy did in his Jetta right before his factory amp. It's just spliced into the rear speaker wires, and it'll give you some RCA outs... Not a hard thing to do, but it's not the way I'd do it... Although, I never had the Bose, so that's why I replaced everything

that would be what I did. Now I will admit it isn't the best choice, however for price and ease of installation it isn't bad. Only thing I've noticed is that if I dont turn the stereo off before shutting down the car, sometimes it spikes the signal to the amp, making a very very bad noise. So now I just have the habit of shutting it off every time. I'll probably go with a new HU next summer, since all my music is digital and kind of feel out of place with society by still needing to burn cd-r's It's just too cold out now.

i've been thinking about throwing one of these in.. its a subwoofer from an RSX with its own amplifier built-in. probably isn't much bass since its factory, but might add some punch to the bose. or.. you could gut it and put your own sub with a high power amp to it to keep things uncluttered.

^^ I doubt there's enough airspace in there for a decent aftermarket sub... But it would be an interesting thought...

there is a LOC made by scosche, but it is bad. I bought that first, and it was really hard to install. If you go to best-buy, they will have a LOC that is really easy. it already has the wires, and all you need to do is cut, and crimp the wires. its really easy. i wouldn't put a basslink in our cars. thers just to much room, and i dont think that it would really sound too good, but if you want to cut down on space, and keep your trunk useable a basslink would be ok. I just like enough bass that i can feel it from a distance... haha
