Hey guys, I just picked up a 98 CL for a few hundred bucks. its a really nice car, but has a few pretty big problems. First problem, it doesnt have an engine. Second problem, it doesnt have an AC compressor. So I have two questions.

First, can the 3.0 out of the 98-2000 accords fit in the CL? They both say they are j30a1, but I hate to pick up one out of an accord, and have the motor mounts not fit, or the wrong sensors etc.

Second, the previous owner stated that the AC compressor worked beofre, just make a bunch of racket. I was planning on replacing the compressor and dryer..and possibly the condensor. Would you guys also replace the expansion valve? And has anyone replaced the expansion valve? I have "read" that it can come out by only removing the glove box, and not the entire dash.

Yes they are the same engine and have the same mounts, as for the compressor and such, I would replace the expansion valve too, but you could always start with the first 2 and see if it works, but yes if you remove the glove box you can access all that crap

If you have time to spare, you can pick up my 3.5L 6speed lsd swap for $3k + shipping. Just a thought since the shop already began to strip my car to sell in pieces since it didn't sell as a whole.
