98 2.3CL Trunk Opener

So I bought my car used, and it didn't come with a manual or keyless entry remotes. I got a pair for $30 on ebay, but the trunk opener option on the remotes doesn't work. I was wondering if the 98 2.3CL came with a remote trunk opener, and if so, why isn't my remote working (I programmed the lock and unlock options, and the lremote LED comes on when I press them, but no lights come on when I press the trunk opener).

If not, does anyone know where we can get those installed?

Thanks.

Yup, just holding down for 2 seconds was all it took... THANKS

Seems kinda silly really... should have just tried to hold it down a little longer...

I guess the Panic button won't work unless I have an alarm, or do I also have to hold that down for 2 seconds to get it to work?
