97 steering wheel

Hey there,
On my 97 CL the leather is of course peeling off. I know the 98 up wheels dont fit because of the horn buttons. Has anyone found a way to put the 98 up wheel in, or whats the deal with that. I dont want aftermarket. I have heard of putting the wheel wrap on there. Has anyone done that and if so do you have pictures? Thanks!

Ryan

yeah, I dont want that on there. I wish there was a way to mod up a different steering wheel to fit. Preferably one with wood grain and leather. Ahhh well.

Like my reflective ac sticker?? haha

Back to the point...

It's just your regular wheel skins wrap, took me 2 seconds to sew on, but before I had it, my leather was coming off on my hands when I was driving which = disgusting.

it comes w/ directions, but i suppose you wouldn't read those either hahaha, i didn't even read them. But really, twine through hole in needle, knot, needle through hole in leather all the way around, knot. and you're done - real tough. if ya can't figure it out, get a girl to do it for ya, tell her in exchange you'll change her oil hahahaha

As far as the steering wheel cover is concerened, I ripped what was left of my tattered leather off and it was bare for a while. Didnt look bad, but it wasnt as nice as stock (obviously.) Also, I think it was starting to tear at the skin on my hands... Dont remember though.

Right now I've got an Acura Steering wheel cover on it..

I don't like the leather, when it's cold it's hard to grip. I'm always afraid my hands are gonna slip off the wheel when I'm taking those tight turns at 45mph.

That would definitely suck, right into a wall or a tree...

Arstraub, that is why people get married. to compliment eachother's qualities. I can't sew, my wife can't balance a check book. Works out ok in the end.
