I'm trying to figure out if my interior color is Classy Gray or Quartz Gray.

It is the dark gray with a strong blue tint (pics attached).

The Interior Color Code on the door says: Type B

I've seen this question answered both ways and was wondering if anyone had a definitive answer. Want to make sure I've got this right before ordering a new steering wheel.

I went thru this same problem...as a matter of fact I was also buying a steering wheel...I got quartz based on the advice I got from some on this forum...it wasn't right which is why I can tell u definitively if its type b its classy gray

Found additional validation from Acura that Color Type B = Classy Gray

Looking up the description for the Steering Wheel found the following:

"BODY, STEERING WHEEL *NH264L* (CLASSY GRAY) . Interior color: B-DARK GRAY"

This is for Part # 78512-SY8-A81ZA

 

All you need to do is look at the sticker in your driver's door jam, it has your interior code listed there. I believe quartz gray is the darker, classy gray is brighter gray

 

I'm 100% positive my '97 has Type F Quartz Grey interior. I still have the original window sticker as well as the sticker on my door jam.

If you check the sites for Acura OEM parts dealers, they list both Quartz and Classy Grey for the '97s. It's possible that the early '97s like mine had the lighter grey and it was changed later. The 98+ only had Classy Grey.
