Hi All,
I have a 97 Cl 3.0 that the A/C compressor cycles every 30 seconds after the A/C has been on for about 10 minutes.I checked the pressure 35 low/ 240 high which is normal. The A/C works great execpt for the compressor cycling. It gets annoying when the engine is constantly surging due to the compressor being engaged on and off so much.Is this common with this car? I'm wondering if other owners of this model experience the same condition.
Thanks for your help in advance

It will cycle more frequently if you set it to lower temps. I gotta say 240 ppsi seems a bit high, but I can't remember the proper values. Anyway, it is normal.

i dont know bout every 30 seconds.. you could have air in the system.. which doesent compress at the same value as the freon. so the pressue switch could be thinkin the pressure is too high. i know a bad cycle is bout every 5-10 seconds. so as long as its workin aiit, it should be good.. have you tried to bring the rpm's up to 1500 and see how often it cycles?
