Hi guys, I'm a new member here and am finally glad to find an online forum that has all sorts of info on a wonderful Acura car, the 2.2.

I'm a big sucker for wooden trim, and knowing the '97 2.2, it has an all black plastic center console.

I was looking around on eBay and saw some CL's with wooden trim console, and I was wondering if I was able to pick up a console from the newer ones and swap them into my CL.

It would also look great because the vinyl is really faded and really scratched up from an amateur installing my stereo.

yes its possible, many have done it, search for dash conversion

 

yeah it has been done.

you need the entire console from in front of the cupholder all the way to the climate control.

the grey plastic is neccesary as well im assuming, Mike (VXCL) did this mod, but he sold his

CL, he frequents the boards now and then, so "shout him a holler" ( i was watching bad boy 4

life video today, i know i need to get out )
