97 2.2cl tranny HELP!!
sup guys im a noob here and this might be a noobie question but I just picked up a 97 2.2cl automatic as a daily a few weeks ago and the trans blew on me already! i know the 94-97 accord shares the same engine code, but is it possible to swap that auto tranny into my car?? please let let me know! THANKs

Yes, the 94-97 accord has the f22 engine as well. you can either swap it in or get your current one rebuilt. Did you buy the car from a dealer? Do you have any kind of extended warranty on it?

no i bought it private party. I was planning on just getting my tranny rebuilt, but then i saw that the accord tranny goes for like $400 - to like $500 i believe.

Yeah get one, but keep in mind you may wanna find one with a warranty or you'll have the same problem again

hey slikflip, i feel my tranny getting weaker, if you do decide to swap it can you tell me how hard it was to swap it, or how expensive? thanks

ok i see what you mean, how about if i wanna do to a manual, i have a manual tranny form a 97 accord tranny sitting in my uncle's garage, is it worth getting changed?
