9005 -> 9006 conversion issue

hey, i put the (looking at the front of the car) left headlight in no prob

put the right one in (its a really tight squeeze) and it did not fit properly. it wouldn't lock in perpendicular to the ground, had to be rotated 90 degrees, and then the harness would not reach, so its kinda rotated at 45 degrees and wedged in there so its not moving

anyone else have this problem?

i know, but when i have it at that angle before i straighten it out, one of the tabs doesn't line up, but if i move it about 90 degrees then all the tabs line up, its just in a different position

the tab that doesnt line up might need to be cut a little bit. try cutting the tab in half.. and sticking it into the headlamp..

Cut the tab, it'll make it so much easier. It must of taken me literally a fucking half hour to get the fucking bulb in and out of the right headlight

yup u have to cut one of the tabs in half ... if u compare the 9005 to the 9006 u'll see exactly which one to trim
