8000k?? daaayum, it just keeps going up and up, soon there will be a 50,000k HID kit, the equivalent to a GRAND OPENING Spot-Light.

50,000 would be really dim. The numbers are the color temp and the higher the temp the more color the light has but the less usable light is put out. I got 9000ks by mistake and they were so dim

I dont understand HIDS...my firend has them (KC CL 1785) and they look the same color as the stock headloghts..i bought hyperwhite bulbs and mine are really blue..alot more bluer than his HIDS...does that sound right?? Arnt the HID's what come on the new Acura Tl's and like Lexus's and stuff? The really bright blue color???

Yeah the real hids are super bright. The lower color temps 5500K or so dont really have a lot of color. I have some 7000Ks that are really bright and have a nice blue color to them. They are def. a heck of a lot brighter than any super white bulbs.
