7000K Violet HID pics

Sorry i couldnt wait for the group buy, I was going to order some HIDs the day the group buy idea came up and i held off so i could do the buy but i didnt see it happening and i wanted these things so i ordered them tuesday and got them today. I got the HID Plus with 7000K violet bulbs and osram ballasts but one of the bulbs was blown when i got it so i only have one side until friday (they are backordered) I havent driven with just the one light yet but i like how bright they are, not sure about the color. What do you guys think? I kinda wish i had just gone with the K2 6000k violet but oh well

There doesnt seem to be a real color difference after warm up. I will take some pics tonight with one halogen and one hid if you would like to compare them. Just let me know

WOW!

That's really purple/violet!

How do you like them? How are they on the road when driving?

Yeah they are really colorful, i hope i dont get pulled over. They light up a nice whitish purple when you first turn them on but quickly change to the purple as show in the above pics. I havent really driven with them since i only have one good bulb so i cant really comment on lighting up the road but they are bright

I just read the box and it says the purple/white bulbs are 9500K i really didnt want anything over 6000K and ended up getting 7000K according to the website but it says 9500K Wtf?

too purplish for me...holy crap if those are 9500k violets. Since that other one is backordered anyway, you think about calling them and bitching so you get some 6 or 7000k bulbs instead? Might give you a smaller chance of being pulled over. They are sweet though, but I'd prefer ones that were more white. 1stgen, do you think that the HID market is only blues and violets, or is it easy to find some that shine more white than a bluish white or violet/white?

buh-damn, those are crazy purple......viewing them on the computer still prolly doesn't do any justice to seeing them in person.....they look nice, but i don't know if i'd want them that purple....however, if i got them for free, then HELL YES!

9500k?

the highest i have seen is only 8000k and those are too blue for my taste. i like the purple, but they seem a little too intense for normal driving. i hope that you dont get pulled over for having them on your car.

in any case.... you have some bright bulbs.

if you wanted to.... sell the ones you have to someone with a CL-s and buy some 6000k's .... or make a trade or something.

Well i was thinking if i could see if someone wanted to buy them but i left the one that works on for about 15 minutes and it started to turn whiter. I really wish i had the 6000K ones but i figured 7000K wouldnt be a huge difference and i figured since their website said 7000K thats what i would get but not according to the box

you're not gonna be able to trade with someone with a CL-S cause the 7000k bulbs you have are not gonna fit in a CL-S housing, they take normal D2R bulbs and not one fitted to a 9006 housing.

1gencl- on ebay, you can find 12,000K... I dont even wanna know what they look like...

ATLcl98- The good HID's (in my opinion) are the older ones, and the ones that come stock on newer, more expensive cars... they have either a bluish-white color or a purplish-white color... like on a new Maxima/Altima or new Acura's. I think they run between 4200K and 5400K.

I used to have the 8000K bulbs, but they were too much for me... i'm back with regular Osram bulbs that run at like 5400K I believe... the same as the new Acura's.

Excreman, your link didn't work. And did you ever realize that your name sounds like "excrement"?

Ok well i found out those HIDs were really 9000K even though the site said 7000K which they now fixed. They did however send me some 7000K blue ones which are much whiter and brighter. Pics soon to come
