5 year anniversary of owning my CL (Timeline of random pics)(UPDATE 10 years!)
Today is the 5th year anniversary of the day I picked up my ack. I bought it May 10th of 2003. I was actually looking at a prelude on a Toyota dealer lot and found the CL. My buddy that I had gotten into car modding with had just passed away a few months before that when he wrecked into a tree screwing around in his black Type R and died on impact. I bought the CL thinking of him and wanting to honor him with my show aspirations, also I wanted a v6 so the 3.0 suited me well. He had built his for track, and I decided to dedicate my work to him. I joined this site in april of 2003 and saw a lot of old schoolers that inspired me. It took me several years to mold my plans and ideas into something concrete especially due to the minimal aftermarket for V6 accords and acks. But the custom aspect appealed to me as well, since I didn't wanna build a fast and furious civic, and he and I actually were more into muscle. He and I had big plans for my Trans Am which was lost the summer b4 he was, and I leaned toward the luxury/tuner side. Here's a link to his car, he had lots of engine work done, but just wanted to do a little tribute and since I can't believe I've owned the car for 5 years today just felt appropriate. Jody, my continuing modding and dedication were truly inspired by you.

Um just showing a progress timeline man, I got more mods to put on than I have time to install, but I'm coming along man. Progress is starting up again, I go in spurts, just waiting to win the stanley cup so I can shave my playoff beard and get back to workin on my car
good stuff man, and real sorry to hear about your buddy...I'm sure he'd be proud to see you still modding her and keeping her going strong
Man, I can't believe I haven't even had the cl for a year and I already feel like I've had it forever. It's one of those cars that just grows on ya.

Hey man
I can definitely relate. After one of my bro's passed away in a car accident, me and my other bro stopped the car thing and were really out of it. Custom automobiles is and always will be our passion in life though, so I decided to keep things moving and get back into it, and dedicate all of the cars we build from now on to our lost bro.
Here's a pic of my CL

Keep up the great work and can't wait to see the other pics. Keep modding too, it's a great and positive way to keep our lost ones alive...

Wow! Nice timeline/pics. Today is my 5th month anniversary with my ack but have been set back from moding because all the power crap that has been going out on it.. I actualy have been up to a lot of the cheaper mods. (blackhousing, intake, repainting stuff that needed it, and a hand-me-down GPS system) I need to upload the pics!

Not yet, twitching to drive her, working on a couple things, haven't hooked all the engine wires back up or put the interior back in yet... Outside is getting buffed also, something else in the works also
I remember your friend with the Type R. Met him at a ITR dyno meet at Speed Nation when it used to be in McDonald. It's a terrible thing. I think his girlfriend was with him when he had the accident.
Your car has come a long way. I love the picture with the city in the background.
