Hey klepto I read in one of your previous threads that if you knew more about rims when you bought yours, you would have gotten a different size. If you were to get new rims for your whip what size would they be? Thanks

just something with a more aggresive offset, and maybe try running 8" something along the lines of 18x8 +30ish or maybe even running a staggered setup

woohoo

shoot, I love Klepto's setup even as-is

but yeah, our fenders are pretty accommodating in terms of width and offset...at least a lot more than probably most people think. I believe the fronts are good for up to an 8.5 with 40 series tires and mid 30 offset, while the rears are good for up to 9 with a 40 series and mid 30 offset with fender rolling, though I think probably even a 9.5 with a little more stretch and full fender roll

there's really no need to stick to a +4x offset with our cars...they can take a lot, lot more...

If they're lighter, he can see small gains on a dyno.

less rotational mass = slightly more power

But it's not something that usually comes into mind when buying rims unless you're a track junky or horsepower crazy. In this case, he's buying them because he likes the way they look. And to get actual figures, either do the math, or put it on the dyno.

yea this is wat i was asking about. thanks distinctive. Sorry i didn't put it down. but yea i have a 97 2.2cl and just looking around for mods and see what works and what doesn't. I'm more interested in hp/torque rather than sound thought so if anyone has a reccomendation i'll happy to hear it.
