I like the 350Z better.

The back of the G35 looks a little better, but there is something about the Z that I just like more.

If you want a bit more luxury, go with the G35. If you want a couple of more ponies from the get go, get the Z. Either way, it's cool. 18's and brembos, stock on a car that cheap!!

The aftermarket is going to be great on those cars too!!

Thought that was only the $34K track model that had the 18s and Brembos.

I'd definitely get the g35 coupe which i am also seriously considering. the BOOTAY potential of the g35 is OFF THE CHART!!! it's got navi, and that cool infinity clock. and just named 2003 motor trend car of the year. i think it can seriously compete with M3.

thats my two cents

p.s. dont forget the BOOTAY potential <--- OFF THE CHART

The G35 is 250lbs heavier with a slightly longer wheelbase and a back seat. The Z only holds 2 people. General consensus is that the G35 looks a bit better but the Z has a slight edge in all out driving.

The G35 coupe is also a great deal, starting at under $30k.

As to hanging with an M3, I don't know about that, unless you mean an E36 or E30 M3.

I'd deal with the g35 cuz it's supposedly a quiter ride and it looks a hell of a lot better, plus (dont make it a habit) you can always throw two more people in the back. I have to go with the g.

Nothing about either of those cars can be compared to the M3. Unless they tweak 60 horses out of the engines. BMW just has such an edge over most manufactuers right now. You are telling me the nissans look better than the M's?? Maybe you will have to take one for a test drive, or drive in one tho know what i mean. The new SMG's shift gears in .006 of a second. Edge goes to BMW

Money isn't the issue. Its 2 seats Vs 4 seats, handling ability, and styling that I'm concerned about. With price being of minimal concern, which car would you take?

Obviously the G35. Why not have more luxury, some trunk space, and a back seat to throw stuff in. The difference in performance stats is not that staggering and can be easily made up with some minor mods. Same engine with more luxury and the car looks better. Unless you plan to track that car all the time, get the g35 and get similar performance in a much more comfortable, practical, and better looking ride.

the M3 is sweet but i'll pass on the high maintenance costs. Also I have several friends who have owned m3's and both cars spent almost equal time being repaired than driven. maybe they drive them hard but.....

for the money - and future upgrade possibilties, the g35 and z will smoke m3's and you'd still have 10 grand in your pocket

no idea but it can't be more than an extra 5 grand. sounds expensive but you have more piece of mind than putting in an aftermarket

Just got back from the dealership. Without a doubt, the 350Z is the car of choice. Looks better, handles better, faster, etc etc. Only problem is that its only a 2 seater. Track model supposedly has aluminum suspension as well as all the other stuff like VDC and TCS, but the fuckers wanted $38,000 for it

I thought I liked the g35 coupe more, then I saw both in person. If you're not bugged down by the 2 seater thing, 350Z is the way to go.

if you ask me a month ago it would be the G35... but my friend JUST bought a 350Z and after seeing the Z in real life... Z alllllllllllllllllllll the way dude..

the z is beautiful... the design is alot more together and forward than the G35 in my opinion... they put the "rectangular" theme all around the car... all the little retangles on the Z logos.. the retengular bar at the back.. the retangular nostral... door handel and lights.. the shit is sooooo together... me like me like...

There are two zs at my college and one g35 4 door. Both of them look sweet but i have to say the zs just look and scream fast. I have not seen a g35 coupe in person but the pics look awesome. I would buy the g35 coupe over the z just because of the back seat. It is a much more practical car than the z if you are going to drive it around town. If i were to get one i would make sure i get the lemans sunset orange color.
it just looks bad a$$

The g35 coupe looks better in pictures than it does in real life. The Z is the other way around.

350Z or g35

The 350 z has a 0-60 of 5.4 seconds. The g35 is 0-60 of 6.0 seconds. The Z has 8 more horses, and weighs 122 pounds less than the g35. The g35 did better on the skidpad with .90 g's thou. I personally like the g35 a little better. If you want pure acceleration and don;t care about a backseat get the z. If you want more luxury and a backseat for basically the same performance then get the g35. The g35 gets my vote though. Pretty competitive with the 2003 cls manual.

Not its not. CLs have nothing on the g35 or the Z.

g35/Z:
RWD
CLS:
FWD

g35/Z:
280-287 HP
CLS:
260 HP

CLS: slower 0-60 and 1/4 mile

g35/Z also looks better and handles better. Plus it comes STOCK with Brembos and Rays (Volk) wheels.

For the same price, fuck the CL-S.
Not to mention aftermarket support for the Z and g35 will be ridiculus.

Acura better get their shit together. Basically one of the few companies that isn't doing forced induction and is staying with FWD cars. Maximas are gonna kick its ass, new ones coming out are rumored to be AWD!

:pee: CLS

I would think it would be in the 7-8k range. If they are going to offer it on the car stock, its going to be warrantied which costs money

There are like 5 different models.

Base
Enthusiast
Performance
Touring
Track

Enthusiast and up has HIDs and TCS. Performance and up has VDC. Track model has Brembos and aluminum suspension. There are other little BS perks like aluminum pedals that some models have and others don't.
