1st Run Rt 440 by my house I was at light next to a 4 door civic. He asked me if I wanted to run, so I said sure it's a 4 door civic. I put about 4 cars on him from the jump then it was a blur all I saw was his lights gaining on me and I'm like sh** then vroom he smoked me. I pulled up next to him later and he said he swapped a GSR in it..

2nd Run I went to the street races because I was bored. I was just there watching with my boy in his GSR and no one was running so I call out a bubble to race me. We line up and I beat him by 2 car lengths

3rd run I got called out by a wannabee S4. It had S4 wheels and blue like the S4 so I thought I was toast. The kid assured me it was only an A4 1.8t we line up and I'm ready to lose, we hit and its neck and neck through 1st and 2nd gear then I dropped into 3rd once I hit 7000rpm in 2nd ( crazy huh ) and put 1 car length on him when we shut it down I won by half a car length. I talked to the kid after the race and he was pissed because he said his whip was chipped..


I never street race but after today I got even more respect for my 2.2 Platano mobile..2 out of 3 aint bad at all...

How'd you beat the A4? If I'm not mistaken, those are 180 hp (for the newer ones at least) and with a chip that should give it even more boost/hp.

from just a chip? maybe with I/E and chip. unless 1.8T's like chips that much to add almost 50hp.

it sounds crazy i know.. but i got a friend who has a 1.8t auto gti and he chipped it. he's pushin 195.5 to the wheels. and he hasent had it dyno tuned yet.. they just ran a baseline dyno and are gonna fine tune it when he gets his bigger injectors in.. i raced him (before my headers) and before he got his chip and i beat him by like 1 car.. i was supposed to race him this sat. but i really need to do a tune up on prescious and my oil has almost 3500 miles on it.. and its been raining for the past 2 weeks... (damn thats alot of excuses) but i will def be racing him next weekend. after my timingbelt and all the other crap i gots to do.

i have headers now... its a totally different ball game.. there was a post before about a stock 3.0 vs 2.x w/ i/h/e, and the 2.x got the jump but theres no replacement for displacment... after bout 1/8 mile it caught up. in fact i raced a friend of mines h22 cl and beat him from 50- bout 120 by 1 car.. he's got i/h/e/100//tho he wasent sprayin on me.. on a street race the 5 speed 2.2 may get bout 1/2 car ahead, but half way thru 1st id be even and gone by 3rd...

i did race a stock 2.3 cl at the races one night and beat him by 3 cars. it was maybee 1/4 mile down. and i had the jump from the get go.

not braggin or even tryin to start shit, but theres no way a na/ 2.2 i/h/e could beat a na 3.0i/h/e, unless the driver sucks. but its an automatic, so...
