any of you replaced the cap and rotor? If so what did you use? What did it cost?

how often should these be replaced? Also anyond have an aftermarket setup?

I replaced mine when I got the engine swapped (about 106K miles). I can't remember who was the manufacturer (bought them at Pep Boys). Cost me about $25-$30 total. I also replaced the wires about that time.

those are all good ?s and i am thinking that mine need to be replaced as well i have 125k on tha motor, and orignal cap, wires, and what about the ignition can we put a MSD in our cars? should that be replaced at some time too?

One sign that they may need replacing is when the car seems to crank longer before it turns over, or any other trouble starting.

Since it's not expensive to replace, anytime is a good time. If you want to keep track of all work done to your car, it's best to replace them when you change the plugs.

yeah i usually change the cap and rotor when i change out the spark plugs..
