I used to get about 26 mpg (mostly hwy) with just a short ram and running 87 octane.

I now get about 20-22 mpg with all of my mods and running 93 octane (for N2O).

why run 93 if you aren't running the juice all the time? I only run it when I have the bottle ready to go.

I get about 300 miles on the tank when the light goes and put about 14 gallons in each time.

After reading this forum & switching to 87 Octane I've been getting 350 miles before the gas light goes on. When I fill up the tank its usually a little over 15 gallons of gas.

I mostly drive highway on my commute to work about 70 miles a day total.

I mainain a speed of at least 70 mph+.

Wait a second. Is the fuel tank the same size in both the 2.3 and the 3.0? Because I have to drive like a bitch to get 300 miles before my light goes on. And I thought manuals were suppossed to get better gas milage.

(i have a 2.3 5 spd.e/i/h)

fuck, maybe i should try that. Gas is getting so expensive, and I usually only get about 280 miles before the gas light goes on. I would shift at like 3K, but i feel stupid when mini vans excelorate faster than me at a stoplight.:'(

I run N2O on any given day.

Having the automatic bottle opener puts me in "race mode" in just a few seconds. The bottle warmer turn on as soon as I fire up the car, and the arming switch is always "on".

I never know when I'll spray, so I always run 93 octane.

I didn't do that for a reason, it'd get me in way to much trouble!

Now that said I usually get 22-24mpg

Yeah, same here, and I was using 93 premium octane gas until I read this thread. Starting tomorrow I amusing 87 octane and saving myself about $2.50 a tank!

Maybe I can crack the mythical 20MPG thingy!
