3.0 CL feels 'Heavy'

I just bought a 97 3.0 CL and compared to my wife's 93 altima and my 1992 accord the CL feels much heavier and less agile. Has anyone else noticed this? With only another 300 lbs the v6 should make the CL more responsive?

I also noticed the Altima shifts are a lot quicker. The CL seems to shift ok but each shift seems to take a little longer especially going up a steep hill.

Yeah, we're dealing with 3219 lbs. (before you put anything in the car). I pretty much manually shift the car anymore, so I don't encounter the slow shifts.

The 3.0CL isn't terrifically fast, but then, that's why we mod it!

Congrats on purchasing the CL!

Well, I just could not pass it up for $4000 with 60k miles. The kid I bought it from just had a 2001 Mercedes CLK55AMG *given* to him so he did not care about the price.

F-ING SPOLIED BASTARDS…. I was at tweeter this weekend and there were 2 kids picking out systems for their cars… one had Lex GS and another one had Range… both looked like they just got drivers licenses. They were saying oh what’s the biggest what’s the loudest… nice when your parents pay for shi.t

Oh btw nice price for your CL!!!!!!!!

Spoiled yes, but very respectful and polite which goes a LONG way with me. He is 20 years old. I drove his AMG which was an indescribable experience. It was like the car was an extension of your body. Every action was performed flawlessly without any hesitation. The rate of acceleration was dependant on the force you applied to the pedal. I was actually afraid to floor it! With 5.5 liter, 362hp it's stock 0-60 time is approx 4.9 and 1/4mi is 13.3

I drove my cousins 92 accord one summer... it is a much lighter nimble feeling car. And that was my 2.2 in comparison. both bone stock.
