3.0 CL 98 transmission

I have an automatic 3.0 98CL...when going at low speeds, probably 25-30mph, then I let go of the gas, when the car slows down, I feel this kinda jerk in the car...like something is getting stuck in the transmission, then it lets go and slows down. I've had the transmission power flushed about 2 weeks ago and the symptom seemed to have disappeared...but it's back. I bought the car used and it has only 31k miles on it. Just wondering if any of you have experienced this problem. Is it normal....though I wouldn't think there would be a jerk on the car at whatever speed I'm going.....more like a smooth slowdown is what I'm expecting. I have another appointment with the service dept at my local Acura dealership this Friday!

your tranny might be slipping a bit. When you go to the dealer make sure to post what they say, i would be interested to see what it is.

I have never had that happen either, and I am at 40k. Maybe the person that you bought it from drove really hard...or if they were young, maybe they were running NOS? CLpower knows how it feels

Some questions for you:You mentioned that the trans was powerflushed,by whom? and what type of equipment was used? The trans fluid that was put in the transmission was hopefully the Honda Acura specific fluid. If you are currently using something other than the Honda/Acura fluid it will definitely play havoc on your trans. If the wrong fluid was used go to the dealer and ask for a trans flush. This involves a case of fluid(9quarts) and about an hours worth of work.typically in most cases I have seen this corrects the poor shift you mentioned.Jens
