27hz or 36hz?
I'm disputing on which box I should get.
I've decided to get a Ported single 12"....but its either a 27hz response or a 36hz....would either make my trunk rattle?
Whats the difference? I want it loud, and make sure it doesn't make my trunk rattle in the perfect position. Gotta have some audio experts on the structure of the car![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks!

The freq is the tuning of the said "port". 27Hz will have a deeper, lower sound. 36Hz will be more on the punchy, loud side.
Def stick with ported tho. Sealed is for wimps. :P

As far as old technology goes, sealed is the oldest of them all. If you really want a competition - I'll put a horn loaded box (subwoofer) up against anything you can come up with. Heck, I'll put a hornloaded box up against TWO of anything you can come up with.
I'll all for friendly competition.

I wasn't talking about that for the car, just in general. You wouldn't be able to get a proper horn length and mouth area for anything but the smallest drivers in our trunks.
I'll stick to the ported vs. sealed argument for the car.
