225 50 16 on stock 16 wheels?
hey guys,
is it ok to install 225 50 16 size tires on 97 2.2cl stock wheels? I am thinking of buying these because they are actually cheaper then the 205 55 16 size. Are they going to rub on the control arms? My main concern, are the tires going to stick out on the wheels, since they are wider?
let me know what you all think.
thanks
mc

I have 225/50/16 on my car and i love them! The tires do stick out from the rims about a good 3/4"-1" though... it i like the fat tire look myself. There is only about 2-3 mm of clearance from the control arm, but i have NEVER had it rub over speed bumps as numerous speeds and also with 5-6 people in the car, no worries at all man.
