our car would look funny with 20s IMO plus you would have to do some serious fender rolling. If you want to do it go for it, you could be the first

why do you want to put 20's on a CL. it's pointless imo. if you want something that you can pimp out, go buy an escalade and bag it.

it's not worth it on the CL. clean 18's are good enough. that's just me tho.

well if i had about 50 grand to through around then i would get an escalade but i dont and ive invested about 5 grand into this cl and i dont want to buy another car and start over so it's 20's bag's and dual's for me. i can see where your comming from but i dont have money to through in the direction on a 50 grand suv or anything like that so i have to make due with what i have.

Why would you want to put 20's on a car???? It doesn't make sense to me! I'm guessing your gonna get them chrome too huh? Well I hope your engine can handle this as well as your fenders. Either way good luck on doing this. Post pics if you get them. I wanna see how funny it's gonna look.

I gotta a question for all of you. Many of you are makeing fun of this person for wanting to put 20 inch rims on his CL. Why not be positive towards his idea? I say this because many of the people on this board like to have a unique car, maybe that is what he is going for.

But I know there are many of you who are being very positive while giving your opinion.

Well I was being positive in my opinion but I think that it's funny to put 20's on a car. 1st off I dont think they will even fit. Maybe they will but I seriously doubt it. Like someone else said "where are you going to get zero profile tires"???? Even if you do get them on with tires and all, how the hell are your gonna turn the car??? The rims and tires are gonna be rubbing the fender. Thats why I think it's funny to put 20's on a car.

20's on a car that is underpowered already like the CL wont do much good. besides the fact that low profile tires bubble easy, they are also very costly to replace. not to mention that the car will have to make three point turns everywhere.

im not flaming.. just showing another viewpoint. if you want to see a clean CL with chrome 18's try to look up the user VTEChump

Like I said, a few of you are being positive but still giving your opinions, there is nothing wrong with that.

ive seen 19's on people's car's and 18's also i have 18's (alloy) and i am unsaticfied with the way they look. hell some of the time the appear to be 16's but that's probably because the front end is only droped 1 and a half inches. like i said ive seen 19's and they dont look that big and the cl was bagged so i think chrome 20's would look b/a and i know i will have to do fender work and also get high performance brakes because i know a person with 20's on his gs 300 and he said it's hard to stop becasue of the weihgt of the rims'. so yes to answer some of your question's i know there is work invovled but im up to it.

All of you that have 18's, go out to your car and look at the clearance between your upper control arm and the tire. Now imagine putting 20's on there and not hitting that arm. They don't make a profile that small as far as I know.

I usually just like them to do it then laugh at them afterwards. "I told you so" makes for such a better reply than "thats not gonna work."

I tried to find 20's for my car. Axis is the only company that could do it. They don't make a four lug but they will drill any of there wheels to any pattern for a nominal charge. The only reason I didn't do it is not because of the work involved but they don't make the tire size that will allow you to do it yet. And I do say yet because toyo had the tire on display at sema. It was a 235/30/20 and should be available by december. Thats my two cents, good luck though. Oh and by the way I've got 19's and my car rides like a brick so I can only imagine smaller sidewalls.
