isn't it the h22a1? the h22 type s motor. if it is, it's not worth it. it cost about to grand more than the h22a. the only differences i found were type is cams and the limited slip. for two grand i can put jun cams, valve springs, and retainers. and still have enough money for port and polish and lsd. with all that you can romp on the type-s.

yeah the type s has different cams and throttle body, its the same engine with better parts, like blur said but jun in there and type s will be type slow compared to it

personally, i'd buy a regullar H22 over the euro or S and drop in new retainers, valve springs, pistons, rods, cam. You'd have a rippin motor!

but in a 3.0? wouldnt it be better to mod up the 3.0 even if it'll be mostly custom?

good luck with that. might as well just by the 3.2 six speed. the h22 has more aftermarket parts for it. . . if you want a fast 6 cyl, dump in the 3.2. that a good way to spend 10,000.

yea man dont waste your time on that cuz your gonna end up spending a lot of money. i mean if you got that cash go for it but i think you really just need to get a H22 and mod it. You soundlike you really want speed but i thin kthe H22 is the most effective way to go. With you current engine you can make it go into the high 13s but with the h22 i dont know exactly but you will be running a lot faster than that!

time out, a V6 will blow the doors off the H22A w/ equal mods. It's the tranny that is the weakness, find a fix for that and you are set!

you sure about that? :shakehd:

h22 e/i/h in a CL=mid to high 14's
3.0 e/i/h in a CL= mid to high 15's

unless you're trying to say if the 3.0 was stick?
then who knows! the 3.0 might be a beast if it wasn't an auto. Too bad that Hoffiness fool was full of

I still don't think hoffiness was full of it. As I said the weakness of the 3.0 is it's tranny, run it against an auto h22 they'd be even. But the 3.0 has a shit load of potential (along w/ the h22)

NO WAY! A 3.0 vs. h22 auto would be a killing! The h22 wouldn't stand a chance. I have raced a buddy with an auto 00 lude with e/i and I smoked him by 2 cars to 90 and i didn't even have a good launch. the auto h22 is soooo sloooow! I agree they both have alot of potential.

I never believed hoffiness though! Come on man, if he really was the first to do that he'd be so proud that he'd have at least a dozen pics of it up! And then he made up some NooB friend that said he saw it all, that was just him with a new sc. Oh well who cares!

from what I remember his friend wasn't a newb, and the guy had nothing to prove, plus the fact a lot of people on here were just rude to him, I would of walked away too.

i agree with CLpower, if you were to fix the tranny problem on the 3.0. you would be able to do more than the H22. the CL motor having more torque that is. Unless you want to go all out and crazy on ur motor, then H22 has more to offer
