2.3 5MT Timing Retard, CEL, Stalling, code 30
As the subject states, as I was driving to work this morning, the car began to pull back on the timing (this has happened before, so I know what it feels like). After a little while of doing this (and me shifting at 2500) the car bucked for an instant and the CEL came on. I was in no place to pull over to check things out immediately, so I went up to the next turn into a parking lot. The car stalled twice while trying to make the left turn into the lot.
Once I got into the lot and pulled to a stop, I turned her off completely and let it sit for about 5 minutes (which sometimes makes everything fix itself for some reason). Once I started back up, I turned off all aceessories (radio, climate, etc) and everything appeared to be fine other than what seems like a loss in power. I had to get to work, so I bit the bullet and drove the additional mile and a half to get there.
Once I got to work, I pulled the code for the CEL using the paper clip trick, and it showed code 30 (three long, no short). I checked on niedejb's site and there is no 30 listed. I hate to jinx it, but the events point to the head gasket, and I'm afraid to think of what that may mean if it is.
If anyone can give me a hand with figuring this out before I go to the dealer or drive it again, it would be much appreciated.

Good news: It's only the MAP sensor gone bad.
Bad news: I need a new MAP sensor.
Taking it to Coast Honda (former Acura techs work there, they know these cars inside and out) this afternoon.

i remember when my tranny went and would not come out of 1st gear, i was at the races and was showing off doin a burn out leaving, and it wouldnt change and did that bap bap bap rev limiter pop. ooh shit scred the shit out of me..that was the last time i ever bounced off the rev limiter.
