Hi all, last question on the intake, I promise....

That extra little black box that sits right beside the battery (over the engine mount), should I remove it completley, or leave it there? Looks like I'd get more clearance for the intake if I remove it.

Oh yeah... The 'siamese' like tiny hose which comes out of the stock intake... I know I use the bright yellow hose which came with the kit instead, but what to do with the original? Let it hang?
I can't really cut it off, 'cuz the other part of the 'siamese' connection leads to something else....

ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
(I'm doin the install right now, running back and forth to see for replies... )

 

about the box ... it's the resonator (just something to make the stock intake quieter)

And the hose ... I would use it instead of the hose they give you. The reason why i say this is because I’ve done it both ways and after driving around i could tell it was better to go with what was there + you don’t want some hose just dangling in your engine bay ... click that www button on my sig ... you may be able to see my hoses

 

Just pull it out. It snaps into the resonator.

I take it you are intalling a short ram??

 

Thanx, will do.... the original hose doesn't fit into the intake's opening, but i'll cut the one that came with the kit to make the connection..... thanx again

Maybe one more question ...

When I removed the small black box, a hose came out...
this thin hose is connected by a three-way plug, and these other thin hoses go to other parts...

Do I unplug this three-way white plastic piece and plug the thin hose into the second thinner spout that stick out of the intake?
Otherwise, I don't know what the second thinner spout is used for!?

 

So far.... I just plugged the third opening on that three-way white plastic piece, and left the thinner spout on the intake open
