Are there any motor differences between the 5th gen Accord with the F22b1 and the 1st gen CL with the F22b1?

If not, then should be a 16.9 at 87 mph (my best stock time)

Only motor mods were AEM SRI, timing advanced by 2*, and Thermal Engineering 2.5 cat back.

With those mods, I got a 16.7 at 88.9 mph.

CL = a nice ride that you can make look nice, but not fast.

You want fast, get an EVO MR, s2k, or whatev.. CL is not meant to be fast

Fastest 2.2 I have seen is xrunner86x's CL. Ran a 14.70 . Not bad. It's always fun to try and make your car faster. I can spin off the line badly, miss a shift, and still hit 14.7 though.

i have it advanced 3clicks..my boy did it for me..we retarded it 2degrees then beat it down the block then kept advancing it 1click and driving it just to see what the best setting was..advanced 3clicks was by far the most noticable difference..especially w/low end power.Id recommend getting 1,$120 for a noticeable power gain.

It gives you the ability to advance or retard the ignition timing.

That is sizeable ammount to make up in these cars. With more stuff, I'm sure you can make up the difference tho.

I rarely post anymore but read sometimes. After spending 15k in mods and labor over the past 6 years, I can say my f22 is still slow as fuck. I have just about every bolt on and some light head work done also. With a 75shot of NxExpress and i/e/cam gear, jun flywheel, act clutch, I got a 15.49 @94. With new proxies, intake, evo exhaust, no cat, dc header, dc short throw, vafc 3800 engagement, cam gear, throttle body ported and polished, rebuilt head, 100 shot NxExpress, bottle warmer, act clutch, fidanza flywheel(jun SUCKS) all interior removed except driver seat including all panels and carpet. Only netted a 14.6 @98. That was last spring. Since then I let the car go to shit. It's old and I can't beat mustang's anymore without $80 in nitrous every week. That proves that I wasted a shit ton of $ trying to hit 13's.

I don't know why people put H22's in cl's. If a 15.5 is good for you then so be it. That's all your gonna get with a STOCK H22. A guy at the shop has a 95 accord turbo h22 and he only runs high 13's. Waste of $ again since he spent well over 15k to turbo, swap, and build the bottem end with only rods, pistons. IF you want a car that can keep up with a 2005 stock mustang a cl isn't it. I reference mustangs because they are cheap and relatively fast.

Good luck breaking the 14 sec barrior in a 2.2/2.3. Buy a subaru if you want to go fast. Best bang for the buck.

....the sad truth, my friends. i disagree with the h22 comment, though. its a huge improvement over the f22, and can make the cl at least a competitor, not necessarily a race car, but still...
