Well I just got my swap done this week, Prospeed. it ain't fast by any means, but it's a hell of a lot better than my old motor. My buddy has an 03 spec-V with just cai/e and had always bitch-slapped my CL when it had the F-series motor in it. Ever since my car went in we've both been talking a lot of shit. (just messing tho, were good buds) Anyway, last night we got to run our long awaited battle. Heres what happened.
We roll out to an empty road, me by myself, and him with a 200 lb passenger, (flagger) We get there and my buddy is a little too cocky and thinks he can take me with the passenger. 1st run I had an okay launch, caught at about 6k and shifted at 7,400. It was even off the line, but the top of each one of my gears pulled about 3/4 of a car. We shut down at like 90 and I was almost 2 cars ahead.

2nd run, he keeps the passenger for some strange reason and this time it was worse. Almost 3 cars and I shut down at like 100.

So I let the passenger get in my car now to see if it's any different. We lined up again and launched. This time my launch was money and he was 3/4 of a car back just through 1st gear then woops... He misses 2nd and it's over.

He seriously would have tried 10 more times if I wanted to, but I try to play it somewhat safe and went home. The cars are actually really really close in power, but my friend is a streaky driver He has his moments, but sometimes

BTW- I love the car again and I'll post pics as soon as I get the net set up at my new apartment. (next few days) I'm at school now Later

 

From a dig, those Spec-V's get out pretty well, they got some good torque and a limited slip. They run out of steam kind of up top, though. Good run.

Nice work, but I'm not sure that guy is shifting right - the Spec Vs are pretty quick, especially off the line and at the beginning of the gears. 6 speeds too. And much lighter than the CLs (I think). Either way a kill is a kill. Good job.

Thanks guys! Hey duece- I'm sure we can get a stock CL. I'm sure someone close on here would help us out. Especially if we got em a lil 24 pack or somethin Talk to your guy about how much ca$h he wants from each of us and lets get this setup. I need mine smogged by JUNE so I wanna get somethin lined up before I start stressin.
