i'm looking into an RSX as my next car, so maybe i'll make my way there as an "actual" member within the next year or so.

Had to clean up and close a couple threads today, people aren't abiding by the rules, this is my last and final warning to the offenders. Hijacking threads about off topic stuff will not be tolerated. I'm not being a dick, just doing my job trying to keep these threads on topic with regards to 1G CL's. My projects thread for example is meant to discuss projects you are working on. The j32 swap thread is about swapping engines.

If you want to debate about volkswagons, take it to car talk or street encounters. If you want to whore up an engine swap thread with talks about legends, take it to car talk. Car talk is for talking about ANYTHING to do with cars, street encounters is meant for ANYTHING to do with racing cars or your edick being bigger than someone elses. This forum is for 1G CL discussion, I think I've made that abundantly clear. Next offender will get a week ban minimum.

 

Bump, you guys have been doing a great job keeping stuff on topic, I just wanted to bump this up for the n00bies

 

any plans for a discussion thread again? i talked to other chris about the possibility of it. it could help reduce "casual conversation" amongst members who are buddy buddy in other people's threads.

 

I've been thinking about it for a while, I don't have a problem with it as long as it doesn't get ridiculous again

 

i think it will work. for people that dont use the profile messaging and the private messaging it will reduce clutter when bringing up personal topics or questions in other peoples threads.

just my 2 cents.

 

There's a question and answer thread in the 1G CL forum, also there are off topic ramblings and car talk forums, do you want a general car talk thread here in 1G CL? I don't really want a complete off topic thread in here as that's what the last one turned into, and that's what ramblings is for.

 

yeah thats true. but those ramblings guys are dickheads. it seems like 3/4 of them dont even post automotive related things on AZ, they just post in the ramblings. lol most 1st Gen guys probably only feel like chattin with other 1st gen guys too.

 

again, I don't have a problem for it as long as it's primary purpose is car talk, I don't mind the random discussion, but we have ramblings, regional, and car talk forums for a reason. Just trying to get an idea of what you guys expect is all.

 

Chris already knows how i feel about this topic. I'm sure we'll get it all sorted out

 

maybe we could have like "The 1st Gen CL discussion thread" in the ramblings. just make sure its not "official" or you get banned. lol
