It's automatic. You don't have a clutch. I hope you got a good warranty.

I was kinda confused when he said automatic and clutch. Anyway my 'rents had a Jaguar that started to shift weird and the mechanic said the transmission was slipping or something so we traded it in before it got worse and the dealer didnt seem to notice
Hope thats not your problem cause we were told it costs alot to fix so ask your dealer.

No more scratches thanks to the dumbass who walked on my car and had to pay to have it repainted.

my friends parents '99 Accord V6 had some transmission trouble as soon as they got it brand new, and it turned out that the tranny was bad, it was shifting hard and it didnt like to go into reverse, so Honda changed the tranny under warranty. My car shifts hard too, and it has since I bought it... and now that I think about it, the first 3.0CL I test drove at the dealer didnt do it... ok, time to go to Acura again... i think this is like the 8th time in 2 months, i'm getting a little pissed off.

Harder shifts=faster acceleration.

My car has a hard one-two shift... it just kinda... hesitates... for like half a second when it gets around 20mph... my friend Brian said that it's pretty much normal for our car; it was one of the things the press reamed the CL about when it came out, that it had that hard shift. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's really bad. At least, I hope it isn't something to really worry about, cuz my warranty just expired.

yeah it doesn't seem that bad but its unusual cause i drove my moms intrepid and the car shifts so smooth u don't feel it shifting.

If the transmission is bad how much does it cost to replace?

f*** i knew the car was sold to cheap. To good to be true

I think its normal. Acura/Honda transmissions are not very smooth at shifting compared to other vehicles IMO.

My 1992 Volvo 240, which has a transmission that was probably designed 15 years ago, shifts MUCH smoother than my CL (and the CL has 32k and the Volvo 175k).
